The brand

Atelier Monsieur

In the heart of the Marais, the historique jewelry neighborhood, out parisien workshop produces all of our designs in 18 karat gold, vermeil, or silver. Our artisans blend traditional and modern jewelry-making techniques to create each piece. They hammer, weld, file, sculpt, and even polish. The foundry, enameling, gilding, setting and engraving is done by master artisans, all within one kilometer of our workshop. Parisian jewelry, imperfectly crafted.

Celebrating artisanal jewelry craftsmanship. Minimalist, imperfect, timeless pieces.

The founder of Monsieur

More than ten years ago, in a Parisienne brasserie of the 11th arrondissement, Nadia Azoug met a jeweler who liked to drink his coffee at the bar. From their conversations stems a new passion: creating artisanal jewelry. In January 2010, she took the plunge as a self-taught jeweler and created Monsieur, a deliberately masculine name for a brand made by a woman for women. Her ambition? To offer excellent products handmade in Paris. More accessible than those found at the Place Vendome, but better quality than mass-produced brands. Her strength? An entirely artisanal and Parisian production from the source material to the production and distribution.

Jewelry Care Guide

Care instructions for vermeil jewelry

Vermeil is made of silver and gold and should not be in contact with perfume, cosmetic or household cleaning products. This jewelry can be cleaned with a small sponge dipped in soapy water, then dried with a jewelry polishing cloth or a microfiber cloth. For stubborn spots, mix Spanish white wine with sunflower oil and apply the solution with a soft cloth, then dry.

Care instructions for gold jewelry

Gold jewelry can be cleaned with a small sponge dipped in soapy water, then dried with a jewelry polishing cloth or a microfiber cloth. For a deeper clean, dilute baking soda in lukewarm water. Leave the jewelry in that mixture for 10 minutes, then scrub with a clean toothbrush under lukewarm water before drying it out with a jewelry polishing cloth or a soft cloth.

Care instructions for silver jewelry

Silver jewelry can be cleaned in a solution of lukewarm soapy water with a touch of lemon juice for 10 minutes. Then scrub with a clean and soft brush before rinsing under lukewarm water and dry with a jewelry polishing cloth or a soft cloth. To get rid of spots, apply baking soda diluted in water, lemon juice, toothpaste, Blanc de Meudon, or rubbing alcohol with a soft toothbrush. After delicately scrubbing the jewelry, rinse under water and dry out with a cloth. If the stains persist, scrub with a cloth dipped in a mixture of vinegar and ammonia. For black spots, leave silver in a mixture of warm water and vinegar for 15 minutes. If the silver oxidizes, immerse the jewelry in a solution of salt and warm water, in a foil-lined bowl, then dry with a soft cloth.
