How to choose an engagement ring?
One ring, one decision. Choosing an engagement ring is one of the rare decisions of taste we make for someone else. Or for ourselves. Both deserve the same attention.
At Monsieur Paris, we do not start with a collection. We start with a conversation.
The stone
A diamond is not mandatory. An engagement ring can feature a sapphire, an emerald, a ruby, a tourmaline, or a stone chosen for its color, its origin, or simply because it resembles the person who will wear it. The choice of stone is entirely yours.
For those who want a diamond, the question is different today. The lab-grown diamonds we offer are created in laboratories in Europe, certified, and neither produced nor shipped through Russia. Chemically and optically identical to natural diamonds, they have a different cost. Their origin is different too. One carries the geological history of the Earth. The other offers precise traceability and a manufacturing process whose every stage is known.
We do not decide for our clients. We explain, we show, and we let them choose.
Shape
Solitaire, pavé, marquise, cushion, oval. Jewelry vocabulary can be intimidating. We prefer to start elsewhere: with what someone already wears, what they avoid, what they would not yet dare to choose. The right ring is not necessarily the one everyone gets.
Gold
The 18-karat gold we use is recycled, melted down, and refined by an RJC-certified Parisian refiner. Each piece is entirely crafted in our workshop. From raw material to finished jewelry, the supply chain is known and short.
Semi-custom
Our semi-custom service is for those who have a general idea of what they want, without yet knowing how to express it. We adjust a shape, choose a metal, and select a stone together. The result is unique, without being a high-jewelry commission.
The workshop
The workshop is open. You can come see the stones, hold a setting in your hand, and understand how a ring takes shape. This is not a showroom. It is a place of work, and conversation is part of the process.
Make an appointment. Or simply come and take a look.
